IBM tends to be a bit behind the curve in distributing packages like OpenSSL, rightly so in my view. Not everybody wants to be on the bleeding edge after all and if you do IBM probably doesn't want to hear about it. As the "source" in "open source" would tend to suggest your best option is to download what you want and compile it. As the old saying has it "if you want a job done right.....".

I just received my new AIX 6.1 shipment from IBM a moment ago. I checked the CD and it includes the old version of SSL, not the one that their new SSH software requires.
