Opening the transaction log data in the PAW workbench

  • 1.  Opening the transaction log data in the PAW workbench

It is nice to have the ability to open the transaction log directly from cubes

I have now tested this and at first glance, there is a problem.

    1. I cannot see the user name, only the Active Directory... part as shown in the image.

    2. Now, I want to use the Excel PiVot to group the overwhelming log data and make some sense of it.

I downloaded the log and opened it in Excel, which is the default application for opening CSV files. Everything appears in the first cell, and the data is somewhat scrambled.

The data is stored with a comma (,) as a delimiter. In some regions, the decimal separator is the comma (,)

I think that data should be region-independent, but this is the situation.
I know I can use the Data Import in Excel, but how can we make this work without all that hassle?

    Suggestions anyone?

    HI Asgeir,

On 92 the columns will be resizable (in the meantime, hovering on the specific cell will display a tooltip with the full text), there seems to be an encoding problem on the file (bug), about the decimal separator,  the numbers are stored raw no separators.
