    This message appears in AIX's error log (errpt) because during cfgmgr

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
    CMD OP: Admin Passthru/02, FLAG=00 NSID=00000000 DATA_LEN=00001000

            DW14=00000000 DW15=00000000
    STATUS: Admin Passthru command timed out (timeout = 30 sec)

    Any suggestions why this is happening?

    Hi Sasi,

    This is exactly the sort of error that you should call IBM AIX and Hardware Support to assist with.

    It may be a simple version mismatch, an unsupported configuration or the "thin end of the wedge" to a more serious I/O problem.
