NTD is not running at the moment? (Suse 9.3)

    Hi,
    I’m just trying to get a simple DCOM test program running, but if fails with the follwing message:

    tt1:/tmp/test # ./test
    1 Error: NTD is not running at the moment, please start it before using NT services.

    The ntd is running since I launched it before:
    tt1:/tmp/test # /etc/init.d/ntd start
    10:17:04 18-08-06 /etc/init.d/ntd: start
    ln: Erzeugen der symbolischen Verkn
