Not able to edit /etc/exports on NIM Master

    I am not able to edit the /etc/exports file on NIM server which is required for performing any NIM operations on the NIM clients. When tried to manually update the exports file it does not allow to save the file giving file permission error.
     
    root@Server(/etc) > ls -l exports
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root system 252 Mar 25 06:49 exports
    root@Server(/etc) >

    I am trying to update the file as root user. But not sure if there is some lock on this file.Any suggestions?
