Hello Experts,

I am facing one issue while starting the node agent on WAS 7.0. I have created one Dmgr profile (Dmgr01), now I am trying to start the node agent using startNode.bat command
under (C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\Dmgr01\bin) but there is not startNode.bat file under this path.

There another profile AppSrv01, under that i have startNode.bat file, but when I run the startNode.bat command from the path (C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrvr01\bin) it is showing as started from command line..but when I login to the Dmgr01 console it is showing that node agent not started.

Can any one pls help me in this?

Thats odd. mmm. you say that you have created DMGR profile and AppServer profile. I guess that the node of AppServer is federated to DMGR, right?

The node agent is created when you federate the node of AppServer to DMGR, this mean that is under control of Deployment Manager. If not, you only can start the DMGR from one side (startManager) and the servers from the node of AppServer profile (startServer nameServer). you can't start a node agent.


The node agent allows the communication between the DMGR and the nodes where are the app servers.
