I'm certainly not going to provide a promise that it won't affect your service, you should deploy it to test/development servers first and confirm for yourself, like any new software you deploy.
However, plenty of people are running the
right versions of it without any impact.
In terms of HACMP, how you integrate it or not with HACMP is your choice. Either run one instance on every server, or run one instance per resource group, but you'll need to script handling the output files.
