    THe AIX level is 5300-05.

Recently we have noticed a significant difference in the CPU numbers (%usr, %system, and %idle) between nmon and vmstat. Typically nmon reports lower usage numbers than vmstat, lparstat, or topas. I see where nmon will show high usage on the odd numbered CPU's when we run the file through the analyser. And almost no usage on the even numbered CPU's. By averaging the CPU's does that account for the lower usage numbers? If so, does this mean that vmstat, et al do not average the CPU's?

I would like to account for the difference in what vmstat shows and what nmon shows.
