  • 1.  NIST postQ standards

A lot of discussions last week at NY Techweek - as a speaker representing a digital asset custody bank I got barraged with questions about the NIST NIST postquantum cryptography standards.   mainly about whether all of crypto and digital assets will be vulnerable to quantum, my answer remains, "No!" Same issues as knowledge workers and AI it is a matter of human beings being able to stay ahead of the technologies we create and putting them to higher and better use, not fearing that we become obsolete. Technology is a tool, it is a matter of how we use it; governance needs to be placed on how we use the tool for the good of society; there is no point being paranoid. The point is to use AI and quantum to stay ahead of malicious actors who may try to leverage quantum. Kudos to NIST for the standards.
