In my bosinst.data file i have:

CONSOLE = Default
PROMPT = yes

So i should get a prompt, telling me what console i should use.

Anyone an idea what i am doing wrong?

I always have PROMPT = yes.

Could it be that i have a graphics card in my system, that i need to specify a different value?

you should be able to access your console - physical or virtual whichever you have.

you can also try with low function terminal /dev/lft0 mentioned here:
