NIM mksysb error on remote system

    its state then retry the intended operation.

    I tried doing the requested reset operation and I get the following:
    0042-001 nim: processing error encountered on "master":
    0042-069 m_abort: the reset operation cannot be performed when
    the target has a Mstate of "running"

    Does the server need to be shutdown in order to do a NIM mksysb? What steps to do to get a NIM mksysb?
