I have configured NIM server and define the machine. Before configuring the NIM server i had mirrored the rootvg. When i tried to boot the client it is not booting. Its giving error.
If i do not mirrored the rootvg before configuring the NIM server i am able to install the client.

Doing this configuration because of i do not want to mirror the rootvg in each client after installation. If we do this way, client will have the mirrored rootvg.

    Any idea will be appreciated.

    Can you explain?

I am also not sure why running: mirrorvg rootvg, bosboot and bootlist is so hard after the NIM install.

Hope to hear from you, Nigel Griffiths

The client configurations are controlled by image.data file of their mksysb or bosinst_data file if loading rte otherwise it will ask you when it boots from nim. I use bosinst_data file to automate the process, then I have script and fb_script to automate everything. So basically these are the stuffs you need to know.
