Hello Riccardo. We do this all the time for our full saves. Yes, you can and should create a move policy and associate it with your media policy. For us, we have a job in the scheduler that will do a MOVMEDBRM to ensure that all tapes in the brms network have then been ejected/moved at a certain time. Another option is you could use the RMVTAPCTG command instead if you wish to eject individual tapes instead. . Hope this helps - Rich

Subject: Move Tape to I/O Slot Automation with BRMS
Hello everyone,
I have the following topic that I don't know how to implement:
BRMS and PTFs are installed on the system. An IBM TS4300 Tape Library is connected. Now, after a backup that runs at night, we would like the tape that was used for the backup to be moved into the I/O slot once the backup is complete. This way, the next morning we only need to open the I/O slot station to remove the tape.
I assume a move policy needs to be created for this.
Has anyone implemented this before and could give me a short guide on what exactly needs to be done to achieve my goal?
