I have a question. Is it possible to mount a External (Sandisk) USB Thumb Drive on a p6 520 Server on the USB port. If so any idea what needs to be done to mount that one. I am running AIX5.3 With TL9. Do I need to install any fileset for that. Need a quick Answer.

    For example FAT32
So you can't use it to load files from a PC to AIX.
You have to read/write is like a raw tape device i.e. backup, tar, cpio or dd but you can dd a .iso image and mount it on AIX.

It does support AIX 5.3 TL09 - see announcement in other reply.

Also don't use any old duff USB memory key - I recommend a new 4GB.
Older slower USB memory key don't support the full standard - just enough to fool Windows!

    How this helps,N
