    Hi everyone,
Is there a way to develop on Mobile Designer under Linux.

    Thanks,
    Nenko

    Hi Nenko,

We did have limited Linux support a couple of years back, but we only ever had one customer request it and it fell off our radar when they moved away from that. Also, a number of platform builds are unlikely to compile under Linux anyway (e.g. iOS & Win Phone). Do you have a particular need for this?

    Regards,

    Nick.

    Hi Nick,
I was just curious, no particular need. My question was more about the developing against Phoney. Is there cross-compilation there? Isn’t it all java and after executing the MultiBuild target to get platform specific code?

    Regards,
    Nenko

    Hi Nenko,

Yes, until you hit the Multi Build target compilation step, you’re primarily dealing with just J2SE, so there shouldn’t be anything there should be problematic - it’s just we haven’t tested it in a long time.

    Regards,

    Nick.
