  • 1.  Missing option in Keyboard Preferences

    Posted Fri May 09, 2025 02:02 AM

Hello!  I help support a group of ACS users, and was trying to assign macro keys for a new user.

My normal process is to click Edit, Preferences, Keyboard, and then change the Category dropdown box from Characters to Macros so I can assign some keys.

On this user, the other categories are in the drop-down box (Characters, Host Functions, Custom Functions, and Menu Commands) but the Macros category does not exist.  I did a Google search, but found nothing close to this problem.

Does anybody know how to enable the missing Macros category?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

I believe the emulator will hide the macro option on the keyboard mapping if the session doesn't see any macro options to assign.

Make sure you have a macro defined and the current session can play it by using the Action > Macro > Play Macro menu option.
