    Here's the FUD you no doubt expected when you first posted your question -> It may very well run AIX 6.1 TL7 ok, but I don't like to rediscover known problems if I can help it. I'd suggest you plan to upgrade to the latest EL350 firmware as soon as practical.

    Bottom line.... do whatever works for you.
