    I was using base AIX6.1, 6100-00-00, DVD is dated 11/2007.

    And I believe many basic fileset will not be in this AIX CD(6100-00-00), so when you migrate, you may encounter such problems.
    In some case, if you migrate successfully, you will need to update TL more than or equal to TL1.
