  • 1.  Logging Audit Files

    Posted Fri February 23, 2007 03:22 PM

    Hi,

webMethods higly recommends to use the database for logging Audit files but the question would be is there a necessity to configure the database if there is a low volume of data that would be going thru IS and also if there wouldn’t be any components that need to be installed (like the Broker, TN, etc.,). In other words, IS is dedicated just for performing some simple tasks like picking up files and sending over to another servers or so.
Also once we configure the fileshare to implement the logging of Audit files, can we at a later stage go with the database logging if we think there a large volume involved on IS or if there would be more tasks to be implemented and how difficult that would be if we need to switch from fileshare to database

    Thanks
