We have enabled location in the MaaS dashboard for all devices.  However all I see is one capture for a given device.  How do I access location history or breadcrumbing?

    Hi Mitch
There are a few things to note about this:
    1. Location History can be enabled or disabled, just go to the location for one device and in that page it should say if it is disabled, if you enable it then it works for all devices.
    2. Policy settings on devices control whether devices report location history: check Android policy settings or in iOS, enable Find my iPhone / iPad.
    3. Locations under the Security menu can be specified by either WiFi network (ie when devices are connected to corporate WiFi) or by physical location (specify map location such as corporate office and a radius around that in miles).

    Thanks for the info, Eamonn!

I do have a question based on your response, however.  IF we enable/allow "Find my iPhone" settings on iOS devices, does this not leave the potential for activation lock issues? I am referring to the situation where a user uses their own Apple ID on a corporate device then subsequently the device is returned without the company  knowing this Apple id.    How would you gain access to the phone and all other related issues coming from activation lock?

    Hi Mitch
The answer is quite simply: "Yes". You make a very good point here and obviously if you are advanced enough to know about Activation Lock you will probably know about Preventing Account Modification as well. This might be delivered in the context of locking down to only corporate-allowed Apple ID's (if you have such) where you would prevent users from creating their own Apple ID's and thus avoid both cloud backup and recovery once leaving the organisation. So certainly they need to be taken together. But I was just referring to the Find My iPhone/iPad feature in a stand-alone context, in response to your question about location services.

    Thanks, for the clarification Eamonn!
So if I understand this correctly, I can have bread crumbing/location history on an iPhone or iPad if "Find my iPhone" is enabled.  The only way to prevent activation lock in this case would be to disallow users from adding their own Apple ID by dis-allowing Account modification?
