    I would like to know the price of zPDT software, because I cann't find an IBM website that says something about this issue.

    Please, let me something about this issue.

    Suggest that you contact your IBM Representative on this subject...

    The following provides insight to the ISV Program and the zPDT Hardware / Software.

    Since the environment is an emulator when new hardware models are created it takes a little while for the zPDT emulator and the ADCD to catch up.

    There are other IBM programs that offer access to real IBM z Hardware which may be of interest as well.  

    BTW - The zPDT platform is for Development Only - No Production work. The environment is great for most general development work.      

    The approval process was part of the IBM Developer Assistance Program now the program looks to be under the IBM z and LinuxOne (ZOPD):

    But as mentioned before - best to work directly with IBM to gain access to one of their programs for the zPDT.

    Hi,

    zPDT is not available directly from IBM, but from one of our partners.

    I recommend contacting ITC as they are the only IBM partner SIs can use to leverage zPDT.

    Slightly off-topic, but I would like to know when the ZD&T Learners Edition will be available again. When I had it, it was a great learning tool that helped me upgrade my mainframe skills, but alas, IBM discontinued it after about two years. The web page for ZD&T, https://www.ibm.com/products/z-development-test-environment, still says "Learner's Edition is currently being updated and will return soon."

    I'd second the request to bring back the Learner's Edition.

    And also add that when / if it is brought back it is made available worldwide, not only in the US.

    I've been using zXplore to sharper my mainframe skills, particularly in the area of new technology.  But where this doesn't help is in learning the core fundamentals of installing / managing the base systems.   And nobody in my "day job" is going to let me break one of their LPARs !!!

    And it is difficult to get new admin people on the platform, which is going to make it difficult to keep the platform going long term.
