Issue Regarding the SSH connection from Window to Mainframe USS

  • 1.  Issue Regarding the SSH connection from Window to Mainframe USS

    Posted Thu April 10, 2025 02:15 AM

I am trying to connect Mainframe USS from my local computer via command prompt . I have created SSH keys in Mainframe and copied it into my window SSH directory .

    I have 2 questions

1-I need to provide password every time while connecting to SSH , I would like to by pass password authentication and want to do only key based authentication .How can I do this?

2-I have deleted keys from Mainframe and Window and cleared all thing but still I can make connection  to SSH from Window via SSH. I would like to clear all things and start connection process freshly but I can see my SSH still taking deleted keys for authentication .Where are the keys stored permanently while we make connection first time?

    I am using z/SO version 3.1 and IBM zD&T machine .

Can someone please help me on this?
