  • 1.  ISPF EDIT updates needed for new COBOL language enhancements

    ​​In 2018 APARs were opened to address new COBOL keywords (https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/apar/OA55117) and intrinsic function names (https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/apar/OA56161).

    Some new intrinsic functions were added to COBOL since then (ABS and others), but as far as I can tell no new APARs for ISPF have been opened to add them as well.  I am hoping by posting this someone at IBM might address this issue.

    Additionally, the "conditional keyword" of "PARAGRAPH" is not highlighted when part of the "EXIT PARAGRAPH" statement.  Same with "CYCLE" in "EXIT PERFORM CYCLE".
