Is there a method we can use to change the Repository Server URL programmatically

  • 1.  Is there a method we can use to change the Repository Server URL programmatically

With the newer releases of Navigator we can use the WSI protocol instead of EJB to connect to the repository. (no need to worry about ports in the URL anymore)

    1. Is there a programmatic way to make the switch? (Protocol and URL).
    2. Is there performance downside to switching to WSI?

We have many to change so are looking for a repeatable process to do it quickly in each of our environments.

    Hi Chuck -

From an ICN perspective the change would be a manual one in ICN Admin Desktop where the CPE connection URI and method is altered.

There is no current way to programmatically automate or script out these types of administrative actions, unfortunately.

As far as downside or performance related guidance on the switch, none is documented on the ICN side. I would think CPE resources may be able to offer something, though.
