I have looked at the RD&T z/OS 1.13 (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21693722) and z/OS 2.1 (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21683724) technotes, and cannot tell if High Level Assembler for MVS and VM and VSE 1.6  , PID 5696-234 is included with RD&T. IBM High Level Assembler for z/OS & z/VM & z/VSE, Release 6, Program Number 5696-234 is part of both z/OS V1.13 and z/OS V2.1. The Introduction and Release Guide for z/OS Version 1 Release 13 and The Introduction and Release Guide for z/OS Version 2 Release 1 both describe HLASM and the HLASM Toolkit as elements and features of z/OS.

So one can always safely assume that everything that included in the elements and features documents for z/OS is included in RD&T?

Alisa, we are updating the z/OS 2.1 technote referenced above to include all products in the base z/OS. They were inadvertently omitted from the original appendix in the RD&T Installation and Sample Configuration Guide and this technote. I will append to this forum when that update is complete.
