To check supported shared storage for Db2 pureScale, please check:
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/db2/11.5?topic=linux-shared-storage-support
All storage devices and multipath I/O driver combinations not identified as category 1 or category 2 fall into category 3. Category 3 combinations have not been validated with the Db2 pureScale Feature, though they are supported.
Are you going to use Virtual machines as CF and/or data members?
For VMs only certain hypervisors are supported, moreover shared storage in virtual machine is supported providing that you can assign storage Fibre Channel (FC) adapters to the guest virtual machines by using the PCI device pass-through mode. After you assign storage adapters, you can directly access storage area network (SAN) disks from inside the guest VM. Tie-breaker disks and SCSI-3 PR I/O fencing are supported in this environment.

Subject: Is DB2 PureScale compatible with StarWinds Vsan?
I am curious about running DB2 PureScale with a two node StarWinds Vsan setup. Is this supported/tested? Or is a true SAN needed given the latency required by PureScale?
