Jeff,
I see you found my other post on this same topic. I apologize for creating two threads on the same topic. I am new to these discussion forums and did not realize there is some delay in having a new thread show up. My bad.

Subject: Is CSDSD capable of hosting an SNA network on its own?
The Communications Server for Data Center Deployment supports SNA APPN networking. It only provides connectivity, however, within the same SNA network. It does not do the cross border connections that VTAM provides. The capability to connect SNA across different SNA networks is a VTAM only capability. The CSDCD can extend the SNA connectivity in a SNA network to legacy LLC2 or SNA over Ethernet devices (IEEE 802.3 connections).

I guess my main question is whether CSDSD comes with support for a level 5 SSCP node of its own? Or is it dependent on connecting to a VTAM SSCP level 5 node running on a mainframe somewhere?
