  • 1.  Integration server is not coming up.

    IS was down.After running the IS restart script, IS has not come up and given below error message.

    An encoding declaration is missing from the top of configuration file,
    /opt/webMethods/AEMWIE1-IS-Ariel/profiles/IS_default/configuration/actional_wrapper.conf, trying the system encoding.
    Waiting for Software AG Integration Server 9.9 (default)…
    WARNING: Software AG Integration Server 9.9 (default) may have failed to start.

    Is that error coming from wrapper.log? Any other errors in that log file? Also, I’m not familiar with the file actional_wrapper.conf, but perhaps you have Insight installed, is that right? If so, are you able to start it if you disable Insight?

    Usualy there should be only two config files of this type:

    • wrapper.conf
    • custom_wrapper.conf (being included into wrapper.conf)

    Any other messages in other logs?
    I.e. server.log from IS/instances/default/logs?

    Were there any Fixes applied recently?

    I have a similar problem:
    Starting Software AG Integration Server 10.3 (default)…
    wrapper | Base configuration file is /home/is/softwareag/profiles/IS_default/configuration/wrapper.conf
    wrapper | Found #include file in /home/is/softwareag/profiles/IS_default/configuration/wrapper.conf: %OSGI_INSTALL_AREA%/configuration/wrapper-license.conf
    wrapper | After environment variable replacements: /home/is/softwareag/profiles/IS_default/configuration/wrapper-license.conf
    wrapper | Reading included configuration file, /home/is/softwareag/profiles/IS_default/configuration/wrapper-license.conf
    wrapper | Found #include file in /home/is/softwareag/profiles/IS_default/configuration/wrapper.conf: %OSGI_INSTALL_AREA%/configuration/custom_wrapper.conf
    wrapper | After environment variable replacements: /home/is/softwareag/profiles/IS_default/configuration/custom_wrapper.conf

    What is the error message you are getting in wrapper.log when IS failed to start?

    Hi,

    Have you added any additional custom lines of configuration to the custom_wrapper.conf? Can you try to revert it back to the default one and see? Also try to increase your tanuki wrapper logging level to DEBUG and see.
