    • There are various solution paths - that said, my preference would be clear the broken the alt_install storage and start again.
    • If you get the same error message - prepare a snap and open a ticket with IBM support if you do not feel comfortable with problem determination
    • Also, if the error occurs again - more than one line is needed to understand why the update of bos.rte.install did not complete.
    • What version of AIX are you updating from - it is very unusual for bos.rte.install to not install
