My NIM server is configured with its default network, ent-network1.
Now, I would like to install a server by using a new card installed into the NIM server with a different subnet.
I declare a new NIM network through this new interface.
When i create my NIM machine with its corresponding IP adress, it always place it with the default NIM network and not with the new configured NIM network.
Is anyone can help me ?

    Regards .

did you also define an additional Network Install Interface in NIM (smitty nim_mac_if)? Are the subnetmasks okay?

How is the output from lsnim -l from the networks and the new client?

Anyone with a few years of networking should be able to do this.

Did you also define a NIM Install route in your new NIM network (the routing back from the NIM client to the NIM server)? How is the output of nim -L of the two networks and you client in the new network? Does DNS (or /etc/hosts) work properly? Does the host command of your client on the NIM server give you an IP-Adress in the subnet of the new network?

The two LAN define in NIM server starts with the same subnet ( 10.x.x.x ) and when i declare a new machine using an other vlan than default network nim, it put this machine in the default NIM vlan instead of its appropriate VLAN.
    Wait and see ....
