    Hi,

    I'm trying to install Instana Server, I figured Instana TechJam would be a good start.

    However, in the techjam, it's requested to have agent and Sales keys.

    I started a 14 days free trial of instana and received my agent key.

    My questions is: 

    • How do I find my "sales key"? so I can take it and use it in the installation on techJam TZ environment.

    Hi Omar,

    The free-trial only works for the SaaS-version of Instana, not if you want to install your own backend.
    You should contact your IBM sales or business partner if you want to obtain a sales key.

    Thanks for your swift answer Bart. Actually I'm a business partner and I'm looking to do a POC, isn't there any way I can quickly get a trial (sales key) for my environment or for the Techjam TZ environment?

    Hi Omar,

    the sales key is something that you receive for a productive installation after license purchase or when a proof of concept is started with an engagement with IBM team on specific use cases. I assume that you are an IBM Partner, when you are able to use TZ. Please get in touch with your partner manager or use the partner plus portal. The 14 day trial of Instana is meant to use for installing agents and get them connected to the SaaS backend. It is not meant to setup your own backend.

    Thanks, I acquired a sales key.

    I'm now working on the TZ environment for (Instana tech jam 1-install). But accessing the guacamole server from the browser is not very convenient, is there a way I can connect to it other than the web browser?
