  • 1.  ino_rgs_init failed with rsp 1

    Posted Fri April 11, 2003 03:13 PM

Now installing Tamino 3.1.1.3 on another Linux box, Apache (1.3.19, from the CD) starts with the following error message:
    www-spkge:/usr/local/apache # bin/apachectl start
    [Fri Apr 11 14:27:06 2003] [error] Handler ino(vx.y): ino_rgs_init failed with rsp 1
[Fri Apr 11 14:27:06 2003] [notice] Handler ino(vx.y): registry init successful
    bin/apachectl start: httpd started

Does anyone has an idea what the reason could be?

    Thanks
    Guido

I noticed the following message that the registry initilization was actually successful, and that httpd is started. So what happens if you issue the URL :

    http://localhost/tamino

(assuming apache is running on port 80). Is the /tamino path accessible or do you get 404 error? Do you have a database and is it accessible?

    Best regards,

    Hi Stuart

yes it says registry init was successful but
    http://localhost/tamino just hangs.

    Thanks for your response

And I guess http://localhost/tamino/?_diagnose=echo also hangs?

In the httpd.conf you will have a <Location /tamino> section with a RegFile value: does this correctly point to the regfile? In system management hub is the registry accessible (under the “system management hub” branch there is a “registry” branch) for querying/modifying the registry.

Beyond this I do know what is causing the problem. I have a vanilla SuSE 8 that installed with a 2.4.18 kernel and it works fine for me.

    Hope this helps.
