  • 1.  IBM Explorer connectivity issue - error code 2063(AMQ4402)

    Hi All,

    We are getting below error when trying to connect QMGR in MQ explorer.

    The queue 'SYSTEM.MQEXPLORER.REPLY.MODEL' could not be opened for reason '2063'.  (AMQ4402)   The queue 'SYSTEM.MQEXPLORER.REPLY.MODEL' could not be opened for reason '2063'.  (AMQ4402)   Severity: 10 (Warning)   Explanation: MQ Explorer uses the queue to administer this queue manager.   Response: Allow MQ Explorer to open the queue and retry.

    All authorities has been granted to QMGR and queues based on following doc https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ibm-mq/8.0?topic=security-authorization-use-mq-explorer.

    This is all happening after we restored the active logs and amqhlctl.lfh file which were accidently deleted.

    Any suggestions to resolve this issue?

    Hello,

    You should have additionnal information on the Queue Manager side, on AMQERR01.LOG (the early one and the QM one)

    Did you restart Queue Manager after restoring the active logs?

    Hi ,

    Yes, we restarted the QMGR after restoring logs.

    We checked AMQERR logs as well but there was no additional info related to this error.

    Which AMQERR? 
    /var/mqm/errors/AMQERR* or /var/mqm/<qmgrs>/errors/AMQERR*?

    Any TLS, AMS, or LDAP involved ?

    Hi,

    Checked AMQERR under /var/mqm/<qmgrs>/errors/AMQERR.

    only TLS is configured but no AMS and LDAP.

    Is this the only queue that is affected? Are you getting this reason code when trying to use any other queues? Is there any chance the SYSTEM.PROTECTION.POLICY.QUEUE has been damaged - perhaps that could lead to the reason 2063 which looks like an AMS failure. Just guessing here since you have found nothing in the error log, but really I would expect there to be something. Do you have any FFSTs?
