A MI dataset should export no differently from any other. Are you sure that after doing the multiple imputation that you made the MI dataset active before doing the export? Otherwise the export would be the regular dataset, not the imputed one.

Hello Jon, I am brand new to SPSS so I most likely did not make it active. Can you walk me through that please?

When you create a MI dataset, you give it a name, but running the procedure does not make that the active dataset. Use the Windows menu to switch to that dataset before exporting or run the DATASET ACTIVATE xyz command in a syntax window where xyz is the name you assigned.

If you are in a Syntax Editor window, you can see the name of the active dataset in the toolbar area.

No luck, I tried toggling it in the windows menu and running the script, it shows my active dataset is what renamed dataset but it is still only exporting my original data

I don't know how that can happen as the export mechanism knows nothing about it being a MI dataset. Are you sure that the dataset actually contains all the imputations? How many did you do?

If you want to send me the MI datafile, I can look for anything weird (jkpeckSupport Member).
