    • AIX is successfully up and provides Login/Password prompt
    • the root pwd is unknown
    • the p660 (7026-6H1) is far away from my office (I cannot do a PowerCycle)

I have serial line connection to the console (not HMC).
Is there any way to bring a p660 down into the "Service Processor Menus" by a suitable BREAK-Command from the keyboard through the serial line or by any other feature?

For example: VAX/AlphaServers provide such facility to HALT the CPU by pressing CTRL/P or BREAK.

    Greetings

If you don't have authority as a non root user to issue a shutdown you will need to push the power button.

I'd be suprised if the other platforms you mention would allow a halt of the system from a login prompt or a normal user login.
If they did there would be systems going down all over the place!
