    I'm not sure, but Fast Connect may only be mounting AIX filesystems onto Windows.  Since it is "rebranded" Samba, it is whatever IBM decides to leave in it.  IMHO, I would use Samba, whether precompiled or compiled from source.  I also prefer oss4aix packages, since I'm pretty sure that an IBMer or ex-IBMer does the compiling.
