    Server is running AIX 6.1 with PowerHA 5.5.  2 node cluster setup with external FC SAN independent at each location.

    The fact that you are happen to have cross site LVM should not be any real difference compared to a standard cluster with single shared disks. You can, depending what you are upgrading to, perform a rolling migration on one node at a time, and repeat.
