How to get a newer version of jython in wsadmin?

    Hi,

Not sure if the is the right place or format to post this but here goes.

As many of you will realize wsadmin's jython version is Ancient (jython 2.1 was released in 2001) and lacks many features of current python/jython versions.

In addition I hope that a newer jython version would also start and run faster than the current version.

So I opened a PMR but I was told that feature requests can't be tracked in a PMR so I was redirected to the websphere RFE community.

I found an existing request which itself is already more than a year old.  Unfortunately there has been no reaction from IBM on this and according to the IBM support desk even they can't find out whether or not this is on any roadmap.

Other than getting people to vote on this RFE is there any way to get someone to pay attention to this?

Here's the link in case you want to add your vote to the request: www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?u...

    Regards

    Bram
