    Actually my problem is while using a application named ferret,it is usually used to plot data into an image and save it as gif file.

    Note that in this mode of grabbing an image Ferret creates a GIF by requesting the image back from
    my screen (my X server).
    My getting a yellowish background on the image.

    it is using true colour
