    I can only think of a couple of ways you could do this potentially, although I have not tried any of them.

    1. boot from a normal Linux CD and recover passwords as per standard UNIX by editing files.

    2. If you know the hscpe password then you could open a call with IBM to get pesh password and use root user to reset hscroot password
    3. re-install HMC from recovery media
