    Once you get through smitty with the fields, do either an F6 or Esc-6 will give you the command line but if you refuse to try smitty, man mktcpip or ifconfig.

    yep, it is stored in /etc/objrepos/CuAt,

    I would strongly recommend you don't mess with that file at all, use the the smit interface, it is designed with the newcomer to AIX in mind.
