  • 1.  How to add attachment in Workflow in ICN Plugin

    Posted Wed June 29, 2022 02:31 AM

we have migrated all the workflow from workplace to ICN.

Once we open Task page we found that few attachments in workflow, which were created during workflow process are not available to view. It is showing "wrong" mark and the mimetype is "application/binary"

where as if we search this attachment in repository, it is working fine. we are able perform all actions in it.

Could any one help us how to fix this issue.

Or can we attach this document once we open the workflow in Task Page using ICN plugin

Please not we have many workflows like this and manual changes are not feasible.

    Thanks In Advance

This feels more a support case than custom development concern. We will need to see the full replication process within the workflow (screenshots) and JVM debug level system logs to determine why it is failing in one scenario and not the other.

    Hi,

We have already raised PMR for this issue.

We are displaying 2 attachments for the work item task (Inbox or Queue), they are called as Source and Published.

The Source is the initiating Attachment which is initially mapped to the WF during Launch

The Published is an Attachment field which is updated later in the workflow as part of flow

For the migrated WFs whose execution was open in 5.1 and now present in 5.5.4, the Published attachment is missing from the Inbox or Queue page, while the Source Attachment is perfectly visible and accessible.

Also to note here is that, any new WFs which we launch in 5.5.4, the value Attachments are seen for both Source and Published and accessible.

We use ICN 3.0.6 as the front end and below is the observation seen from the JSON response file generated on opening the Inbox,

Great. You should work within the case to manage the effort. Logs will need to be reviewed, etc. This channel is for customization dev related items, not defect related items. The owning engineer can review with you and determine if you are hitting a known condition in our older code that has been resolved over the past few years between 3.0.6 and 3.0.12.
