    How did you download the TL?  Did you use AIX to do this? (Smitty->Software Installation and Maintenance). Are you concerned about the security?

    Install provides a number of mechanisms like Apply Only, Reject Applied Updates, List Installed Updates that are Applied but Not Commited.
