I'm using Cognos Analytics on Cloud – Standard version and i am new to it. Our license includes 8 Standard users and 2 Premium users.

I've created a dashboard that I'd like to share internally with my team (~40 users). However, most of them don't have Cognos accounts. When I share the dashboard URL, they get an authentication error.

My questions are:

Is there any way to share dashboards via URL to internal users without requiring Cognos login?

Are there any supported workarounds, such as exporting or embedding dashboards so that they can interact with dashboard?

I'm looking for a solution that doesn't require buying 40+ additional licenses .

To use dashboards in the Cognos portal you need the smallest license to access the portal.

However active reports and reports can be shared through email and dosn´t require a license to use, in active reports you can interactivity like dashboards.

To access the portal, and use dashboards, they need the smallest license. 

It is called Viewer.

Otherwise you need to distrubute reports, thats free of a license.

Hi,

the only way to "share" a dashboard to users who have no access to the Cognos Portal is to send them a picture from the portal via the share menu:

There is no workaround without having an appropriate license for Cognos Analytics. Every user that wants to access an object in Cognos needs to be assigned a license/role to get the actual capability to open the url. Even embedding in another website won't work as this iframe would only refer to the Cognos Portal which than prompts for the login details!

How about allowing anonymous "login" and setting access rights for "everyone"?
