  • 1.  Hot deployment of CA cert in wM IS

    Posted Fri December 12, 2003 11:00 PM

Is there a way to install a ca certificate and bring into effect in wM IS without restarting the server. As i understand it, I’ve to restart the server after placing the CA certificate in the file system folder to bring it to effect.

    Thanks in Advance
    DG

In 4.6 you must restart when you install a CA root cert. Maybe someone else can say whether the situation has changed in 6.x.

However, if you have a cluster, you can take a node offline, install the CA Cert and restart, and so on…

This situation hasn’t changed in version 6.x. You need to restart the IS.

Is this for a specific HTTPS listener or for the general server wide setting? You’ll need to restart for the latter, but if the CA cert is for a specific HTTPS listener you can restart the listener to pick up the changes.
