  • 1.  Has someone ported an open source version of virus checking to IBM i?

    We're looking for anti virus software for IBM i.  Our current quotes are much more for a single lpar of IBM i than all of our Windows servers and clients combined.  And we have 15 lpars of IBM i.  I am wondering if someone has ported an open source version of virus checking to IBM i?

    I'm fighting the boss now to avoid his idea of creating a share on the root so some pc can virus check it.  His hope is that the share can be restricted to a particular IP address or some such thing.  I suspect that this cannot be so without buying some of the same overpriced exit point software we're trying to avoid.

    RazLee's port is marketed by Seasoft in the US.  Price wise, it's better than some - but again, still more than covering all of our Windows based clients and servers.
