I am testing a 2 node cluster with one network (net_ether_0). The cluster is the latest 5.4 (with the latest fixes) and AIX 5.3 TL5. Originally there were only 2 NICs per node defined in net_ether_01. Persistent IP/Labels are also defined on each node in net_ether_0. A service IP address has also been defined in net_ether_01. Two additional NICs have been added and defined on net_ether_01

During simulating a single network connection (pull cable from NIC) outage, the service IP moved over fairly quickly. When the test was attempted on the NIC which the persistent IP resided, it did not move over to another NIC in net_ether_0.

On both nodes, the clstat command showed that the standby address was down on the node. I was able to ping the IP on the local node.

    Can someone help out.

    Thanks,

    James Marcinek
