    migcheck471: cl_connect() error, nodename="hostname", rc=-1

    cldare: A communication error prevents obtaining the VRMF from remote nodes.
    A DARE cannot be run until this is corrected. Please ensure clcomd is running.

    Checked Clcomd is running on both the nodes and all files seems up to date.

    Version of HACMP is : 5.5.

    Would appreciate your advice on this.

    Thanks & Regards,

    try to stop clcomdES and start it again on both nodes (stopsrc/startsrc)

    check also your network configuration on both nodes and communication on all networks you have on your nodes (ping run on each node).

    if you do cluster from scratch and the previous configuration was removed, there should be no strange network entries in HACMP ODMs...

    If one wasn't comfortable with startsrc/stopsrc, they could also just reboot both nodes and re-try the syncronization.

    Add the 1st node boot ip and persistent ip details on /usr/es/sbin/cluster/etc/rhost file on both nodes.

    Only the above helped me to resolve the issue..:).

    restart of clcomdES and node reboot did not help me..(.
