    I have HACMP 5.2 running on AIX 5.2 ML05, attached to a FastT storage. I have created some LUNS on the FastT and got them detected on the AIX box(wtih same PVIDs). But, when I tried to extend the shared cluster volume group and sync them across the cluster nodes, it is not working. Shared volume group sync process runs successfull without errors, but the sync does not happens in real. Extended verification and sync complains that the new pvs are not known to the volume groups and fails, with a suggestion to sync the cluster offline with #smit cl_sync.

    Not sure what is happening. Ideally HACMP 5.2 should be able to sync the volume group defination online and doesnot required a cluster downtime.

    Please help me out. Any kind of suggestion is warmly welcome.
