  • 1.  Guardium v11 - Collector license

    Hi everyone!
    I've been working in Guardium V11 Demo and i realized that collector don't have the license installed so the GUI is limited to a few functions only.
    I read here in the community about the license should be installed only en CM, is right?
    I got an error trying to install the collector license in the collector itself :"The license Key is missing the LICR number" but the license i tried to install is the correct one. ¿?

    That seems to point to a license problem.

    Did you obtain the license from IBM PA website?

    Their is an license check option in cli:

    license check <license key>

    That might give you a way of checking

    Good Day Mark! Thanks for your help.  I talked with the person who downloaded the product and the key. It's a demo version and the key was downloaded from a Partner site.

    From the collector GUI :



    The license came in a bundle with the software. I'm a little confused, it shouldn't give that error. Any hint?

    Hi

    Can you check the license on another appliance using the cli command I sent to you?

    You can contact the supplier of the license, and ask if they know of any problems, if they know of an issue that might explain the problem.

    I assume that this is the first time you have used this license?

    Good day! Mark, unfortunately i don't have other server or apliance(collector) to check it. My architecture is only :

    1 Aggregator
    1 Collector:
    1 DDBB Server

    I checked the license in the collector server mentioned via cli and the result is :

    <cli>license check (milicensenumber)
    License check OK.
    ok

    and then when i run..

    <cli>store license (milicensenumber)
    error: The license Key is missing the LICR number.
    License key has not been applied successfully.
    err

    Same error than GUI and i don't know why. Yes, the first use with this license. Maybe I should consider contacting the support as you said.

    I would suggest that you contact the website that provides the license key.

    I'm not sure what the cli command checks it could simply be that it matches certain length and criteria.

    Maybe the catalog website can provide you an alternative.
